Update on Jacob

Hello all,

Well most of you know that Jacob Rian Carmichael was born on March 10th at 7:11 AM. He weighed 8 lbs and 3 oz. Today they moved him into NICU due to the ABO blood incapatibility issues that he has encountered. His bilirubin level was at 17.7 when they admitted him this afternoon. Everyone's prayers have really paid off. At 7:00 PM his bilirubin level was at 15.8! To give everyone an example a normal bilirubin level is around 1.0 - 1.5 according to our pediatrician. The NICU doctor plans to check the level again at 1:30 AM and then at 6:00 AM. So if anyone is awake, please be praying for his level to go down. We will be!!!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This is the first Christmas that Marley really had any idea of what was happening. It was really enjoyable.

We were able to see many of our family members which always makes the holidays more meaningful. If anyone has a story about the holidays, please forward it to me.
